Plopșor was active not only with studies in in specialized journals, but also a participant at international congresses like the one on pre- and proto-historical sciences in Prague in 1966, at which, together with Dardu Nicolăescu Plopșor, he presented his theories concerning the discoveries at Bugiulesti. He also presented on the same theme at the international Congress of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences in Moscow, and played host to the great scholar Raymond Dart from Johannesburg (South Africa), the original discoverer of remains of Australopithecus in 1924, and the one who defined and defended the existence of a Paleolithic characterized by human use of the bones and teeth of animals and of naturally-worked stones as tools and weapons.
